files

What file formats do you accept?
Most products accept PDF (preferred), PNG, JPG, and TIFF. Stickers and signage also accept SVG and AI. Apparel and promotional items accept PSD and high-resolution PNG. PDF is the best choice because it preserves vector text, embedded fonts, and color profiles exactly. Each product page lists the exact requirements before you upload.
What's the difference between bleed and trim?
Trim is the final cut line — the actual size your printed piece will be. Bleed is the extra 0.125 inch of artwork that extends past the trim on every side, so that if the cutter drifts slightly the background still goes edge to edge. Safe zone is the opposite buffer: keep text and logos at least 0.125 inch inside the trim so the cutter cannot clip them. Forgetting bleed is the single most common reason a file looks fine on screen but ships with a white sliver.
Can I see a proof before printing?
The live preview in the configurator is your proof — it shows your artwork placed inside the trim and bleed marks at the correct size. We do not send a separate emailed proof PDF for online orders because that adds days to the turnaround. If you want professional eyes on a file before it prints, order one piece first as a hard-copy proof, then re-order the full run once it looks right.
Can I upload a Canva or Figma file?
Export to PDF first. Both Canva and Figma can export print-ready PDF — in Canva, choose File then Download then PDF Print and tick "Crop marks and bleed"; in Figma, choose Export then PDF. Upload the resulting PDF. Direct .canva or .fig files cannot be printed because the press has no way to render proprietary document formats.
Why does my screen color look different from the print?
Screens emit light (RGB) and paper reflects light (CMYK), so the two color spaces will never match exactly. Vivid blues, neon greens, and bright oranges in particular look duller on paper than on a backlit screen. If exact color matters — brand colors, photography, packaging — order a sample first or supply Pantone references and we will get as close as the press allows.
What's spot UV?
Spot UV is a clear, glossy coating applied to specific areas of the print rather than the whole sheet — usually a logo, a pattern, or part of the typography. The contrast between the matte background and the shiny spot adds physical depth and looks especially good on dark colors. It requires a separate mask file in your upload; the product page explains how to prepare it.

general

Do you offer free samples?
We offer a paid sample kit that ships every stock and finish for the cost of shipping. Free one-off samples are not something a solo operator can sustain, but the sample kit is priced as close to break-even as we can manage and is the fastest way to compare papers in person. Order it once, keep it for reference, save yourself a guess every future order.
What's the minimum order quantity?
Most products start at 25 units; some start at 50 or 100 depending on what the press economics allow. The minimum is shown on every product page next to the quantity selector. There is no minimum order value, so if you only need 25 business cards for a single event, order 25 business cards.
Do you offer matte vs. gloss?
Both, plus several middle-ground finishes. Matte is non-reflective and writes on with most pens; gloss is highly reflective and makes photography pop; silk and satin sit between the two and are the most popular on premium business cards. Soft-touch lamination adds a velvety texture and is worth the upcharge if you want the card to feel different than the next one in the stack. Each product page lists the finishes available for that stock.

turnaround

How long does production take?
Standard production is 2 to 4 business days for most paper products and 5 to 7 business days for apparel, signage, and promotional items. Production starts the first business day after we accept your order, not the day you check out. Each product page shows the specific turnaround for that SKU, and a rush option is available on most products for roughly half the standard time.

shipping

Do you ship internationally?
We ship across the United States and Canada today. International shipping outside North America is not yet available; if you need it, email support@zprintz.com with the destination and the project and we will quote it manually where the printer can fulfil it. Duties and customs fees on cross-border shipments are the recipient's responsibility.

returns

What if my order arrives damaged?
Email support@zprintz.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear daylight photos of the damage, including a shot of the outer packaging. We respond within two business days. If the damage is confirmed we reprint and reship at our cost or refund the line total — your choice. Shipping damage is officially the carrier's responsibility, but we file the claim on your behalf.
Can I cancel or change an order after placing it?
Yes — until production starts. Email support@zprintz.com as soon as you spot the problem and we will cancel or amend the order if we can still reach the printer in time. Once production starts the file is on press and nothing about the order can change, including the shipping address. Production typically begins the next business day after checkout.
Can I get a refund if I made a typo?
No. Once you confirm the file at checkout, what you uploaded is what we print. Typos, wrong phone numbers, wrong addresses, and missing letters are not covered by the refund policy because the file printed exactly as supplied. Catch them before checkout: zoom in on the live preview, read the text out loud, ideally get someone else to read it too. If you spot a mistake before production starts, email us immediately and we will cancel the order if we can.

payment

Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes, and they apply automatically — there is no coupon to enter. Larger quantity breaks unlock lower per-unit prices on every product. The configurator shows the unit price updating as you change quantity, so you can see the break points directly. For orders above 10,000 units of a single SKU email support@zprintz.com and we will quote it by hand.
