Vinyl banners

Vinyl banners are the print industry's workhorse format for outdoor signage, event backdrops, and large-format trade-show display. They're built from a heavy vinyl substrate that holds full-color print without delaminating in weather, and they roll up for shipping and storage.

Material weight is the primary spec decision. 13oz glossy vinyl is the standard for outdoor durability — handles wind, UV, and rain for 12+ months. 8oz mesh vinyl perforates to let wind pass through, making it the right choice for fence-line and rooftop installations where solid vinyl would catch wind and tear.

Banners come grommeted by default — typically every 2 feet on all four edges — for rope or zip-tie mounting. Pole pockets are an upgrade for top-and-bottom pole mounting. Hemmed edges add tear resistance for high-wind installs.

Pull-up banners and X-frame banners use lighter polyester fabric and travel with the supporting hardware. They're the trade-show standard: setup in 30 seconds, fits in a slim carry bag.

How should I set up my print file?

Export as a press-ready PDF at 100–150 dpi (vinyl prints don't need 300 dpi at typical viewing distances) in CMYK. Outline fonts before export. Avoid hairline strokes — the smallest reliable stroke on vinyl is about 1pt.
