Flyers

6 variants · instant pricing · 1–5 day production

Flyers are the print marketer's high-volume distribution format: lighter paper than postcards, larger sheet size (typically 8.5×11 or 5.5×8.5), and printed full-bleed front + back. They're built for hand-distribution at events, in-store stuffing, door-hanging, and bulletin-board posting.

Stock weight is the single biggest spec choice. 70lb text is the cost-economical option for high-quantity handouts. 80lb text strikes the balance between cost and perceived quality. 100lb gloss text reads as premium and works as a leave-behind. Heavier than 100lb crosses into 'cardstock' territory and behaves like a postcard.

Finish choice — gloss, matte, or uncoated — drives perception. Gloss makes color pop and reads as 'commercial print'. Matte and uncoated feel handmade or editorial. Uncoated also accepts pen ink, which matters if recipients will write on the flyer.

Flyers are printed digitally or offset depending on quantity. Digital is economical below 250 pieces; offset takes over at higher volumes with a per-color setup cost amortized across the run.

Frequently asked

What paper weight are business flyers?
Business Flyers print on 100lb text stock. 100lb gloss / matte / UV text is the standard premium flyer weight — stays flat in a counter-top stand and resists curl in stacks.
What sizes do you offer?
Common flyer sizes are 5.5×8.5, 8.5×11, 8.5×14, and 11×17 inches. 8.5×11 is the workhorse for retail and event flyers. 5.5×8.5 fits in a standard envelope without folding. 11×17 reads as poster-adjacent — best for trade-show handouts.
How should I prepare my print file?
Set your document to the final trim size plus 0.125" bleed on every edge. Keep important text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line. Export as a press-ready PDF at 300 dpi in CMYK. Outline fonts to avoid substitution. Avoid pure black (0,0,0,100) for large dark areas — use a rich black like (60,40,40,100) so the press doesn't render it dull.
Can the flyer be folded?
Single-sheet flyers in 8.5×11 and 11×17 can be scored and folded into half-fold, tri-fold, or z-fold layouts. Folding is a finishing add-on; choose at checkout and we score the sheet so the paper folds clean without cracking at the spine.
How quickly will flyers ship?
Production typically takes 2–4 business days once your file passes pre-flight. Most flyer jobs ship same-week. Quantity has little impact on production time because press setup dominates short to mid runs.
What's the difference between 80lb and 100lb gloss text?
Same paper family, same surface. 100lb is noticeably stiffer in hand — resists curl in stacks, stays flat on a counter-top stand. 80lb ships lighter and costs slightly less per piece. If the flyer is mailed in an envelope, 80lb. If it's handed to a person at a trade show or sits in a display, 100lb.
What paper weight are matte finish flyers?
Matte Finish Flyers print on 100lb text stock. 100lb gloss / matte / UV text is the standard premium flyer weight — stays flat in a counter-top stand and resists curl in stacks.
Will pens and markers work on this stock?
Pen and marker ink generally take well on matte AQ and enviro uncoated stocks — the surface isn't slick enough to repel ink. For perfect take-up choose an uncoated variant explicitly.
