How it compares
- 60lb offset for handouts, 80lb gloss for marketing, 100lb gloss for premium, 100lb matte for editorial.
- The smallest perceptible flyer upgrade — when 100lb's extra stiffness pays for itself.
- Matte for stages and copy-led layouts; UV for outdoor and photo-led promotions.
What paper weight are flyers?
Flyers print on a standard text-weight stock chosen to balance stiffness with affordability.
What sizes do you offer?
Common flyer sizes are 5.5×8.5, 8.5×11, 8.5×14, and 11×17 inches. 8.5×11 is the workhorse for retail and event flyers. 5.5×8.5 fits in a standard envelope without folding. 11×17 reads as poster-adjacent — best for trade-show handouts.
How should I prepare my print file?
Set your document to the final trim size plus 0.125" bleed on every edge. Keep important text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line. Export as a press-ready PDF at 300 dpi in CMYK. Outline fonts to avoid substitution. Avoid pure black (0,0,0,100) for large dark areas — use a rich black like (60,40,40,100) so the press doesn't render it dull.
Can the flyer be folded?
Single-sheet flyers in 8.5×11 and 11×17 can be scored and folded into half-fold, tri-fold, or z-fold layouts. Folding is a finishing add-on; choose at checkout and we score the sheet so the paper folds clean without cracking at the spine.
How quickly will flyers ship?
Production typically takes 2–4 business days once your file passes pre-flight. Most flyer jobs ship same-week. Quantity has little impact on production time because press setup dominates short to mid runs.
What's the difference between 80lb and 100lb gloss text?
Same paper family, same surface. 100lb is noticeably stiffer in hand — resists curl in stacks, stays flat on a counter-top stand. 80lb ships lighter and costs slightly less per piece. If the flyer is mailed in an envelope, 80lb. If it's handed to a person at a trade show or sits in a display, 100lb.
