preflight
Also known as: preflight check · file check
Preflight is the automated check a printer runs on your file before printing — verifying bleed, safe zone, DPI, fonts, colour mode, and overprint settings. It catches issues that would otherwise show up only after you've paid for the print run.
zprintz preflight runs the moment you upload or save your artwork in the designer. We report any issues in plain English (not jargon-heavy printer-shop notes): 'Your logo is below 200 DPI — try uploading a larger version,' or 'The text is inside the bleed area — pull it 0.25″ toward the centre.' You'll see and approve every issue before the order goes to production; nothing prints without your explicit OK.
