Bookmarks

12 variants · instant pricing · 1–5 day production

Bookmarks are a deceptively small format with a high signal-to-effort ratio: they're inexpensive to print, easy to distribute, and end up in books that get used for months. Libraries, indie bookstores, authors, and reading-promotion programs are the major buyers.

Stock weight runs lighter than business cards — 10pt through 14pt is typical, with 16pt and 18pt available as premium tiers. Bookmarks need to be thin enough to sit in a book without splitting the spine, but thick enough to not crumple after a few uses.

Finish choice mirrors business cards but with a tilt toward writable and uncoated options. Library bookmarks often need to accept a stamp or handwritten due-date; uncoated and writable C1S stocks support that. Decorative bookmarks lean toward gloss, UV, and silk lamination for visual richness.

Custom shapes — tassels, die-cut openings, perforated sections — are common upgrades. The bookmark base price is low enough that specialty finishing is affordable even at small quantities.

Frequently asked

What stock are custom bulk bookmarks?
Custom Bulk Bookmarks print on 10pt stock. 10pt is the lightest bookmark stock — flexible enough to live in a paperback without bending the spine.
What sizes do you carry?
Standard sizes are 2×7, 2×8, and 2×8.5 inches. 2×8.5 is the most common for paperbacks (fits inside the cover without sticking out). 2×7 is better for small-format books and gift card sleeves. Custom sizes available on request.
How should I prep my file?
Build at the final trim size plus 0.125" bleed per edge. Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line — the cutter can drift slightly on long, narrow stock. Export as press-ready PDF at 300 dpi in CMYK. Outline fonts to avoid substitution.
Are these printed double-sided?
Yes — both sides full-color at no upcharge. The back of a bookmark is real estate: contact info, a QR code linking to your book club page, a quote, or a list of upcoming events.
How long do bookmarks last in regular use?
Coated bookmarks (matte AQ, UV, silk lam) survive months to years of daily use. Uncoated and enviro stocks soften faster — fine for promotional handouts but not for keepsakes.
Can I order in low quantities?
No minimums. Single-piece test orders, 500-piece event runs, and 10,000-piece library distributions all run on the same press. Pricing scales with quantity; the configurator shows per-unit + line totals before checkout.
What stock are personalized bookmarks?
Personalized Bookmarks print on 13pt stock. 13pt is the sweet spot for promotional bookmarks: stiff enough to read as quality, light enough to mail at letter rates.
What stock are linen bookmarks?
Linen Bookmarks print on 13pt stock. 13pt is the sweet spot for promotional bookmarks: stiff enough to read as quality, light enough to mail at letter rates.
