Greeting cards

10 variants · instant pricing · 1–5 day production

Greeting cards are the high-touch end of paper-product printing: folded card stock with a specific occasion message (holiday, thank-you, save-the-date, condolence) printed on premium substrates with matching envelopes included. The unit price is high relative to postcards because the format involves folding, matching paper goods, and per-unit handwork.

Stock choice signals occasion. Pearl and metallic substrates are the wedding and luxury-event default. Kraft brown reads as warm, personal, handmade — popular for save-the-dates and holiday cards. Smooth white card stock is the universal default.

Specialty finishes — foil stamping, embossing, spot UV — turn the card from print product into keepsake. Foil costs significantly more than four-color print but the perception lift on a wedding invitation or business holiday card is real.

Greeting cards always ship with matching envelopes (the envelope stock matches the card weight or upgrades to a complementary specialty stock). Address printing on envelopes is a separate quote.

Frequently asked

What is uncoated greeting cards printed on?
Uncoated Greeting Cards print on 13pt cover stock.
What sizes are available?
5×7 (closed) is the standard greeting-card size — opens to 10×7 with the fold. 4.25×5.5 (closed) is the A2 invitation-card format — opens to 8.5×5.5. Both ship with matching envelopes.
How should I prep my print file?
Build at the open layout size (double the closed width). Include the fold position as a centred dashed line — the press scores on that line before folding. 0.125" bleed on every outer edge; safe zone 0.125" inside the trim and 0.25" from the fold. Export as press-ready PDF at 300 dpi in CMYK.
Are envelopes included?
Yes — matching envelopes ship with the cards as standard. Envelope colour matches the card paper where possible. For specialty stocks (kraft, pearl, foil), the envelope is the standard bright white unless otherwise specified.
Can I print on the inside?
Yes — both inside panels print full-color at no upcharge. Inside-left and inside-right are separate layout regions. Many designers leave one inside panel blank for hand-written messages and use the other for printed content.
How long does production take?
Standard greeting cards run 4–7 business days from file approval, plus shipping. Larger quantities don't meaningfully extend production because press setup dominates short runs.
What is custom greeting card printing printed on?
Custom Greeting Card Printing print on 14pt cover stock.
What is matte finish greeting cards printed on?
Matte Finish Greeting Cards print on 14pt cover stock.
